She is coming at him swinging…
President Donald Trump’s adviser, Kellyanne Conway, said Tuesday she needs Adam Schiff, Chairman of Democratic House Intelligence, to appear in the open impeachment proceedings next week.
“Adam Schiff is going to make people raise their right hand and be under oath when they speak, I would politely suggest what does he have to hide?” Conway asked while on Fox News. “Why doesn’t he go under oath before he delivers another opening statement to the country? I want to say something else.”
With his actions as chairman of the Intelligence Committee, Schiff has come under criticism from Republicans and all GOP committee members have called for him to withdraw. House Democrats opposed House Republicans last month’s surveillance bill directed at Schiff.
Schiff was heavily criticized for saying he never even had communications with the whistleblower that lodged a complaint against Trump about his phone call with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky which prompted the impeachment investigation by House Democrats. In September, Schiff said that “we,” apparently referring to the House Intelligence Committee, “have not spoken directly to the whistleblower,” but that assertion was later debunked by a New York Times article.
The report — that Schiff did not deny — said before it was filed, Schiff heard about the complaint from the whistleblower.
