The Minneapolis city council had previously voted unanimously to abolish the police, but they are now wondering where the police are now that violence is rampant.
A report from the Minnesota Public Radio stated: “Just months after leading an effort that would have defunded the police department, City Council members at Tuesday’s work session pushed Chief Medaria Arradondo to tell them how the department is responding to the violence.”
A councilman even had the nerve to say, “Residents are asking, ‘Where are the police?’ That is the only public safety option they have at the moment. MPD. They rely on MPD. And they are saying they are nowhere to be seen.”
People who wanted to defund the police are getting their just deserts. They wanted to defund the police, and now that there’s no one stopping the violence happening, they want the police back.
Maybe they should have used their brains to figure out how their current actions could affect the future.
