She can’t go lower than this…
Rashida Tlaib received intense criticism recently for retweeting a post that was promoting “not fully verified” claims about Jewish “settlers” and a Palestinian child. The person who had posted about the claims had issued an apology about posting unverified news which caused Tlaib to retweet that post and issue her “apology.”
Instead of saying that she was in the wrong for retweeting a post that had fake information, she decided to subtly say that it wasn’t her fault for posting fake news. She wrote, “In this era of inaccurate and manipulative news, I will also strive to hold myself to the highest standards for what I share. Know that I always seek truth as we uplift the oppressed and fight for equality, justice, and freedom.”
She thinks of herself too highly. She’s too high to apologize correctly and she’s making it blatant how she thinks of others who do not share her views. How was she able to get a seat in the government blows my mind.
